Electrical Engineering is one of three degree programs within SDSU's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, along with Computer Science and Software Engineering. 

The EE program offers rigorous, practical degree programs at the Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. levels, and is active in a number of research programs, providing research opportunities to both graduate and undergraduate students.

In 2003, the EE program earned a 6-year ABET accreditation. The Computer Science program is seeking ABET accreditation in the fall of 2006 and Software Engineering will seek accreditation soon thereafter.
