Homework 16, Due on Friday, May 1st. This is a chance to re-submit homework 13 subject to the following clarifications: 1) For all cases, assume a = 100,000. That is, there are 10^5 asynchronous inputs per second. 2) Be careful with your decimal points and w/ your calculator entry. For example, 10MHz is 10^7 Hz, not 10^6 as many of you stated. 3) The last question is asking if it is worthwhile to IMPROVE the syncrhonizers (and only the synchronizers) to the point where we can consider clock speeds in excess of 20MHz. This will be a 35 point homework assignment which will be graded for correctness w/ very little partial credit. The answers will be discussed in class on Friday, alond with problem 9.18. Both of these topics are fair game for the final and you will probably do better if you attempt them prior to Friday.
