All of these are JPEG compressed images.  They can easily be loaded into Matlab using the 'imread' command. The images with common names (adirondack_mars_rock, Mars_scape 1 & 2) are especially suitable for some of the image enhancement techniques we have been studying.These images were obtained by both lunar rovers, Spirit and Opportunity.  For more images, and more information, go to http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/gallery/all/.
