Truck Stuff

This is where it all begins.

Where to begin. I'll not bore you with my philosophical dribble regarding trucks, but rather share truck experiences through these pages.

Where she was found
Here’s how I found the truck in the mid-90s.  It bordered on being a bona fide rust bucket.

And how she ended up 4 years later.  It’s primarily original sheet metal with a donor rear fender from Paul, a donor cab floor from a ’54 (from Paul) and many original parts from Montana, my favorite place to look for truck parts.

This was taken at the Inliner’s Picnic last summer (2000) at Don Cummings’ place.  This picture stolen from the Inliner’s International web site.

Here’s what keep ‘er cruising.  A 261, I6 over-bored with a warm custom cam, dual Rochesters, Fenton headers, and some other secrets of mine.  3.55s in a stock, closed driveline let me go faster than I probably should.

Here’s the original intent for this truck – on a farm.

Come back in awhile and I will show you the process of turning a diamond in the rough into this truck…and helpful hints along the way.
